Northcliff residents have a new local spot to savour their morning brew and connect with neighbours, following the recent opening of 'The Ridge Roast' coffee shop. Situated conveniently on Beyers Naudé Drive, the new establishment has quickly become a favourite for its specialty coffee, freshly baked goods, and warm, inviting atmosphere.

Owner, Sarah van der Merwe, a long-time Northcliff resident herself, expressed her excitement about contributing to the local community. "I've always envisioned a place where neighbours could gather, not just for a quick coffee, but to truly connect," Van der Merwe stated. "The response from the community has been overwhelming, and it's clear there was a real desire for a comfortable, quality coffee experience right here in Northcliff." The Ridge Roast sources its beans from ethical, local roasters, ensuring a fresh and robust flavour profile that has already garnered significant praise.

Beyond its expertly crafted coffees, 'The Ridge Roast' offers a selection of light meals and pastries, perfect for a casual breakfast or lunch. The interior design blends modern aesthetics with a touch of classic comfort, featuring ample natural light and cosy seating arrangements. Future plans include hosting local art displays and small acoustic music sessions, further solidifying its role as a community gathering point.

Local foodie and chairperson of the Northcliff Residents' Association, Mark Peterson, commented on the new addition. "It's fantastic to see new businesses like 'The Ridge Roast' investing in our suburb," he said. "It adds vibrancy to Beyers Naudé and provides another excellent option for families and individuals alike. It's more than just a coffee shop; it's enhancing the lifestyle offerings we have here in Northcliff." The establishment is open daily, ready to welcome both new and familiar faces.
